George has been chosen to join the MSA Academy’s Squad for 2018

George has been chosen to join the MSA Academy’s Squad for 2018. Each year a group of drivers aged 14-25 who have demonstrated potential excellence in motorsport are selected by the MSA to join the program. The program selects drivers from various racing sectors including racing, rallying and karting.

This program allows the drivers to benefit from the knowledge and recourses originally developed for the Team UK and MSA ACADEMY AASE programmes.

Squad members have the opportunity to meet key individuals and specialists within the sport and receive bespoke one-to-one support and coaching. The programme is overseen by an MSA Academy Performance Manager and delivered by qualified MSA Coaches. The MSA Academy Squad calendar will consist of a minimum of five events throughout the year, aimed at developing all-round driving ability and is the talent pool for MSA Team UK.

The MSA Academy is a talent development pathway that equips the UK’s most promising young drivers with the knowledge, skills and attitude needed to maximise their performance.

Being part of the squad is an excellent opportunity for George as it allows him to develop his driver skills away from the race circuit and helps him become a better overall driver. Other drivers that have passed through this system include Jenson Button.

“It’s an honour to have been chosen by the MSA to join the Academy’s squad. With so many great drivers applying for the few places they offer, I’m privileged to be part of an exclusive group. I’m looking forward to working with the MSA Coaches and aim to get the most out of it.” – George Sutton
